I am very much starting to resent my state. We have land in Texas and all I need to hear is let’s go. Why would anyone want to stay and fight for something they believe in that is already law when the very people we put in office to make tough decisions cave and in the last hour so to speak? Did John have an epiphany? So we know this is unsustainable, will probably be repealed, then what? Unicorns and butterfies? What will WAO do about the looming problem? Zip. They have no regard for the fiscal health of this state. If they do, I can’t find it anywhere on the site. We’ll continue to go down this hellish rabbit hole again and again. Ohio now ranks #1 for loss of residents. Wonderful. It’s only going to get worse before, or if, it gets better because after a while…anyone in their right mind would like to sail that boat and they’ll just leave, and Ohio will just be a massive Detriot. Yuck.

Rich, your frustration echoes my own, but what do we DO about it. How do we fight when our “leaders” are so spineless? I don’t have a friendly radio station as an outlet, our group couldn’t even muster enough volunteers to put up a decent fight against our last school levy, and my neighbors are so mis/uninformed and apolitical that there is no point in talking to them. I need to fight to maintain my sanity–my hope that my children might have a chance keeping their freedom–but finding enough like-minded compatriots to make a difference without any money seems like a gargantuan task at this point. Where/how did you start?

Great stuff guys. And you can call Doc anytime at 513-749-7000. He would love to let you vent your frustration. I know he wishes more people spoke up, so if you feel the need, call him. As to the rest, this is politics as usual. We are seeing the establishment pushing back. They used us to get elected and are hoping this phase will just fade out. We knew this was going to happen. It’s just a let down when you think a guy is speaking with your voice to turn on you. But that’s politics. The important thing is that we don’t let it take away our desire to “fix it.”
I was so mad yesterday, it was difficult to think straight. More because the behavior was so predictable.

I’m going to jump in here. I clicked on your name and you have what you need right there. They already have started, if this is indeed your town. Get with these people as often as possible and strategize with individuals. It doesn’t take an army as we see with WAO. They didn’t start that way. You just a few very strong willed folks to push back hard. The rest will hopefully follow and if they don’t? Move forward anyway. Meet as many people as you possibly can. I wear political conservative garb almost everywhere I go and you’d be surprised how many people come up to me. We exchange info and go from there…especially emails. These are people in my town who are as frustrated as you. Be unafraid. The only thing to fear is where we’ll end up if we DON”T fight and what we give to the next generation.

[...] Living without fear is the first aspect of a free existence, even before financial security. It is the obligation of childhood to arrive at manhood with as little fear as possible, but unfortunately our current culture actually celebrates neurosis, and belittles the FEARLESS! What an upside down world. So I felt a twang of pity for all those poor kids who watched the adults in charge of their lives postpone school because an evil fog had cast itself across the land. I realized that a robbery had taken place, all in the name of “SAFETY.” Those children had been denied a mysterious journey through the masked landscape of their familiar routes to see the world differently, and to compare those differences with their everyday route. For it is an important lesson to see how different something you think you know well can look when the elements upon which you see it change. And those kids were denied that experience. Instead, they stayed safe in their homes waiting for the fog to clear and the opportunity for advent… [...]

[...] A married couple, especially a professional couple must listen to each other discuss their work because in the workplace there are bound to be sexual rivals. The man must listen to what types of people are in his wife’s life and he must guard himself against their intentions with her by tending to her needs based on what she says. The woman must ask what kind of women are in her husband’s business life, because they are all potential threats to a marriage in the form of sexual competition, if the man feels he’s not getting from his wife what he needs. [...] One of the things I’ve always fought against is the tendency to not question the merit of an order…There isn’t any circumstance where I could be a private in the military where a commander orders me to my death. I could handle being the commander, but certainly not the soldier. And this was even worse in public school. I can’t think of a single teacher who surpassed me in intellect, even when I was a kid, and I never trusted that what they told me was true. I’ve felt this way for as long as I’ve had a conscious thought. When the structure of things is not questioned, and people just learn to take orders, as our society is currently structured, the soldiers don’t see where the real orders come from. Well, since I’m not committed to any system of thought, let me show you how it goes down, and how your public education system has been corrupted by socialism even if the individual parts of that system cannot see it, because they were taught not to question orders from a superior.
