JULY 19th, 2012 MOVIE REVIEW: “The Dark Knight Rises,” the third and final installment in director Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, pushes the ideological envelope even further than before. It’s impossible not to feel Nolan’s disgust at Occupy Wall Street a movement the film paints as both incoherent and violent courtesy of a class warfare villain armed with nuclear weaponry.

If you look at Bill Warner’s ‘evidence’ it all boils down to the fact that he is trying to link a bad man to what he sees as a bad group. And when you look further into it most of the reasons turn out to disprove themselves. For instance the batman movie didn’t ‘slam’ the Occupy movement. It was written before the movement was in the press. And Holmes wasn’t reacting to the movie’s ‘anti-occupy’ sentiments, simply because the shooting happened at the midnight opening. There’s no reason to believe he had insider access to early showings, and he was preparing for the shooting months before the movie came out anywhere. I could go on and on.
